A quick guide to Quadrix Soft’s internship program

Share

We all know how daunting it can be to deal with real-life working tasks, when all you have is theoretical knowledge from Universities. Getting into the business world for the first time can be overwhelming, since there are so many new skills and areas to learn. With that in mind, the best way to start off would be by taking one step at a time, which an internship program allows you to do. You will be able to gradually get involved in a specific area and the whole internship program has to be carefully designed with your learning in mind. So when searching for your first work experience, make sure you are looking for the right learning experience!

What does the internship program look like at Quadrix Soft?

At Quadrix Soft, we take care to make this process both encouraging and valuable for the new members of the team. Let’s take a closer look at how internship programs for technical positions are prepared in our company. All interns are basically going through two stages in the process:

The first stage implies familiarizing yourself with the basics of the environment or technologies the role is associated with. This is the theoretical part of the internship. It typically lasts 4 to 6 weeks, but how long it actually lasts will depend a lot on the foreknowledge you have and your personal approach to learning.

We will take an example of the Salesforce Developer Intern role in order to present better how this stage actually works. If you have applied for this role and successfully landed the position, you will first be introduced to Trailmix. Trailmix is essentially the journey of well-organized lessons which teach you what Salesforce is and equip learners with all they need to know about Salesforce Development. After each lesson, you will be asked to do the test and check your knowledge. Once you finish the whole Trailmix, you will be completely ready to start working and programming on the Salesforce CRM platform. If Salesforce is not the area you have been familiar with before, this internship stage will mean a lot to you and be of great help for the practical part that is coming in the second phase of the program.

The second stage involves a real production-based project. You will get one to two months to finish it with the support of your mentor after which you will present the results of your work. Interns get their own mini-project set in Agile, to be precise in Scrum management framework. All the tasks you are assigned are monitored on the Jira Software and you will be able to get a sense of how teams in our company operate on a daily level no matter if it is an outsource project or an internal product. This stage of the internship is more challenging than the first one, but it will give you a valuable insight into the work that’s coming next and the experience you need to take on your new role in the team. If you successfully pass both stages of our internship program, you will get a job offer.

All internship programs at our company are paid and last for three months. You will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to solving real problems and figure out how we work inside the company and how you can adapt to a professional work environment. Next to that, you will meet people from different backgrounds, become better at communication and collaboration, learn more about Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle at the company. The list goes on and on.

As already mentioned, every intern has a mentor to guide and support them throughout the whole process. Help is not limited only to the technical side of the job, but also involves advice on how to handle your work, figure out more about the company culture and expand your soft skills. We believe that this kind of approach means a lot to interns especially if this is their first working experience.

As an intern, you will have access to some of the key benefits our company offers. Inside each internship advert, you can inform yourself more about it. What most of our interns have seen as the prime benefit is the free lunch you have on a daily basis. This means you won’t have to worry about what food to buy for the next day and stay away from the downsides of junk food. Healthy meals will serve you best and help your energy to be on a high level.

How to get an internship at Quadrix Soft:

We have put together all the steps you should take in order to land an internship at Quadrix Soft and learn among our team of professionals.

CV

Regularly visit our website and check the open intern positions we have. You can also follow our social media accounts in order to be the first one to find out when the new position is open. We call you to leave your CV and keep in mind that the time for applying usually takes two to three weeks.

Before sending out the CV, make sure to invest enough time in it. This document talks a lot and it’s often not just about the information we find out about you, but the way you present and arrange them will also reveal one important part of your personality. Carefully read the internship description and include all the relevant skills and knowledge you have. Your CV is the first time when we get in touch and first impressions matter.

Technical interview

A technical interview is the second round of the selection process that tests your knowledge and skills in a specific area. We will invite you to our office where you will be assigned a test in a desired tech environment on a PC. You will get 90 minutes to solve short technical problems and answer a couple of theoretical questions.

Stay focused during the test and try not to be under time pressure. You will have enough time to think through all the assignments you get. Ensure that you have carefully read each one and feel free to ask for clarification if you need it. Believe in yourself and take this round as the perfect opportunity to show all the knowledge and problem-solving skills that you possess.

HR interview

An HR interview is the last step that leads you towards landing in our office on an internship. This is where we finally meet each other in more depth and find out if we match. We will talk about your soft skills, teamwork, preferences and expectations. Each company has its own culture that makes it different from the rest, so let’s see if we fit with one another.

If you successfully pass all rounds of the selection process, you will become part of the Quadrix Soft team. In an empowering and harmonic environment, we will thrive together. Looking forward to your application!
